FLOKKI

Flokki consists of dance makers Jukka Tarvainen, Elina Räisänen, Saara Junttila, Elina Häyrynen, Raimonda Gudaviciute, and Rea-Liina Brunou, and filmmaker and sound designer Miki Brunou. Our name is a variation from the English word ‘flock’. Birds that fly and forage in a flock have a very intelligent system of synchroniced moving and working as a team. No one in a flock can avoid of becoming a leader at times and everyone has to take equal responsibilty of the community. And that is also where we are aiming at in our work as a collective.
